#042 – A Star is Born

Phewww – A star is born. Ok, this may not be the movie A Star is Born review, but I would like to talk about this!!!

If you ask me what’s the best part of the movie? I would say, the song “Shallow”. Here is the lyric:

Tell me something, boy
Aren’t you tired tryin’ to fill that void?
Or do you need more?
Ain’t it hard keeping it so hardcore?

I’m falling
In all the good times I find myself
Longing for change
And in the bad times I fear myself

I’m off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I’ll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface, where they can’t hurt us
We’re far from the shallow now

To be honest, this song does go to my heart. Aren’t you tired trying to fill that void, or do you need more? Longing for change, and escaping to be far from the shallow now… Isn’t this reflecting part of our life? Lady Gaga’s voice punched the lyrics to my mind and little tears flow when I resonate with the song. Aren’t we tired? Trying to fill that void, even we are not sure if we can fill it anyway… Ok, TOO EMO ALREADY! Sorry… It is a nice song, you should listen to it. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo_efYhYU2A

OK, talk a little bit about the movie, I love the first few parts only, and the last ending song. The rest I think… they should ask me/consult me on the storyline. LOLLLLLL. It is too draggy in the middle and the story is… too sad (quite negative). And the transition of scenes is sometimes drastic, and not smooth. I should have directed lah… LOLLL JOKE!

But I have to say I love the two main casts, they are awesome. Lady Gaga is such an actress!!! and Bradley Cooper is soooo handsome. Since this is a musical show, the songs are fantastic. Two great sexy singers! NICEEE.

One key lesson from the movie? Love may not transform a person, but love definitely tie two persons closely together. It is one of the greatest gifts from God after all 😊
